What We Offer
Whether attending in person, connecting online, attending an outreach group or receiving a home visit we offer a raft of activities.
Outreach Support
Taking our support directly into homes and rural communities.
Reaching you where you are at
“The Outreach visits made me feel connected again”
We understand that not everyone can attend in person or digitally. We strive to reduce barriers created by distance, disability, isolation and rural living.
Where and when we can, our outreach and wellbeing workers bring support into the more rural and remote communities, helping reduce isolation and ensuring people feel connected wherever they live.
“I no longer feel invisible”
Ageing Well
At Snowdrop Argyll, we support people to stay connected, active, creative, and well as they age. Many of our activities are designed with and alongside people aged 55+, creating welcoming opportunities for social connection, creativity, self-management, and community participation.
We recognise that prevention and wellbeing are closely linked. Through gentle, inclusive activities and peer support, we help reduce isolation, build confidence, encourage independence, and support emotional and physical wellbeing. Our approach focuses on living well through connection, creativity, shared experiences, and community support.
Therapeutic Creativity & Peer-Led Support
At Snowdrop Argyll, therapeutic creativity offers gentle, supportive opportunities for people to express themselves, relax and connect with others through shared creative experiences.
At the heart of this work is peer-led support.
Many people who come to us for support discover that, in helping others, they begin to feel better in themselves. By recognising and sharing their own experiences, strengths and skills, they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
People Coming Together
Snowdrop Argyll brings people together through welcoming, inclusive activities that reduce isolation, boost sense of purpose and belonging and strengthen community wellbeing.
We create relaxed spaces where people can meet, share skills, build friendships, and feel part of a supportive community.
Activities include our Camerados Public Living Rooms, craft and creative sessions, quilting, knitting and crochet groups, Men’s Pie and Pint meet-ups, and Connecting Aloud singing sessions open to all.
Our outreach community connections also include facilitating the Kintyre Parkinson’s group and the Gather Group in Tarbert, helping extend support, games and self management activities and social connection across the wider community.
Through shared experiences, conversation, creativity, and laughter, we help people feel connected, valued, and supported.
